What We Believe

The Bible

(2 Timothy 3:16)

We believe the Bible is God’s written Word, uniquely inspired by the Holy Spirit. It is the authority, the truth and is so relevant to our everyday lives.

God

(Genesis 1:26; Matthew 28:19)

We believe that there is one God, who has always existed and always will, in the three Persons of the Trinity – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator and sustainer of all things.

Jesus

(John 1:1-3; Matthew 27:32-61; John 20:10-18; John 4:9-15)

We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross in our place for our sins and rose again. In defeating death He paved a way for us to live life in its fullness and have a destiny in Heaven.

We believe that in order to live life in its fullness and be brought back into relationship with God we need to repent of our sin, believe in Jesus Christ, accepting the forgiveness he bought for us on the cross. We need to surrender our lives to Him and live in His will.

Holy Spirit

(Luke 24:49)

We believe that to live the Christian life we need the Holy Spirit to work in us through regeneration and empowerment.

The Church

(Acts 2:42-47; Ephesians 1:22-23; Hebrews 10:25)

We believe that the local church is the hope of the world and that it is necessary for believers to meet together regularly. We believe that all believers have gifts, both natural and supernatural to enable them to fulfil their role within the church and to make an impact in the world, living life well and to their full potential.

Eternity

(Matthew 25:31-46)

We believe that man was created to live forever. We believe that Jesus Christ will return in a personal and visible way and will raise all people to judgement. Those who have accepted and received God’s forgiveness through Jesus will be raised to eternal life. The lost will be eternally separated from God. Heaven and hell are real places.
