What Are We Walking Into?

The Bible says in Proverbs 29:18 ‘where there is no vision the people perish’ (KJV), or as the NIV puts it ‘where there is no revelation then the people cast off restraint’. People, and that is all of us, need a picture from God which somehow describes the future that we are supposed to be working towards and walking into, otherwise we have no idea where our energies should be going and so we often end up doing daft things instead.
Our Heart as a Church is to “empower a new generation”, to help all become everything that God has created them to be. Each of us has a important role in this but first we need to come and make sure that we are all pulling in the right direction. Unity allows God’s blessing to flow, His power to come and change what we can not do.
I look forward to our Vision Sunday each year, where we get chance to look at what God has called us to do as a Church. A chance to have a look at our future, what we are building toward and see how we are going to get closer to it in the coming year.
