Why Valley Academy?

If you haven’t checked out Valley Academy already you should! Our website has plenty of information about the course. I’d start by reading the brochure, then the prospectus. Then, if you’re still interested, apply!

I personally pursued education for ministry in the church at Hillsong College, knowing full well that full time church work was what I wanted to do. However there were hundreds of other students who went to the same college knowing full well that full time church work was not what they wanted to do. What led them to take the time to go through a Christian programme like this? I believe it’s because these types of programmes – and I am obviously thinking of our Academy now – are unique in helping people see ministry as bigger than just where you work. Whether you’re working (or planning on working) in a church, or in the secular world (whatever that means), the personal development that comes from a course like Valley Academy will prove absolutely formative in how you see all of life as being on God’s mission.

We’re not all church planters, but we’re all called to plant churches. We’re not all evangelists, but we’re all called to evangelise. We’re not all preachers, but we’re all called to preach the gospel. I believe Valley Academy will equip you to play your part in God’s great plan for this world we live in.

We have received our first few applications, and can’t wait to get started in September. In fact, we are now licensed to receive overseas students, and we can sponsor visa applications to the UK from places like the USA. Recently, our Academy was advertised in over 1,000 US churches through a magazine (see the picture attached), and so be it this year or next, we’re excited about investing not only in people from Valley Church, but people from around the world who want to equip and invest in themselves for God’s great mission.
