How to register

We would love to take as big a group as possible with us so that we can experience the Conference together and invest into one another as we build the local church together here at Valley.
The distance between Valley Church and the O2 Arena, Peninsula Square, London is 238 miles. A car running at 40 MPG (calculated in July 2018 when petrol was at 128p per litre) would cost £34.82 in petrol to get to London (one way).
Train tickets vary. Using Virgin Trains Best Fare Finder you can book a one way train ticket from Preston to London Euston from £15, but only around 3 months in advance. From London Euston you would then need to catch the black Northern line towards Kennington, and change to the grey Jubilee line at Waterloo. Get off at Canary Wharf or North Greenwich to end up at the Docklands hotels and O2 area.
You can only book travel with Mega Bus around three months in advance but there is often plenty of availability. From Preston train station to London Victoria Coach Station takes 4 – 7 hours depending on the time of travel but only costs £5 - £12 each way.
Flights are available to London from Manchester, which take around an hour and cost between £100 and £200 per person for a round trip with British Airways.
Visitor Oyster Card
These are a great idea to save money and worry. Buy one of these before you leave home and top it up with credit online. Activated from first use, visitor cards use a pay as you go system that allows you access to all London public transport. Pay as you go fares are cheaper than buying a single paper ticket.
Visitor Oyster cards offer daily capping. This means you can travel as much as you like in a single day and the amount you pay for your travel is limited. For example, you can travel as many times as you like in a day in Zones 1 and 2 and you won't be charged more than £6.40. By comparison, a Zone 1 and 2 Day Travelcard is more expensive and will cost you £12.
You can use a Visitor Oyster card on the Emirates Air Line which connects local hotels just over the river directly with the O2 and is less crowded than DLR.
A Visitor Oyster card costs £3 (plus postage) and is pre-loaded with pay as you go credit for you to spend on travel. You can choose how much credit to add to your card: £10, £15, £20, £25, £30, £35, £40 or £50.
- If you're visiting London for two days, start with £15 credit.
- If you're visiting London for four days, start with £30 credit.
Children under 11 travel free on buses and trams. Children under 11 also travel free on Tube, DLR, London Overground, TfL Rail and some National Rail services when accompanied by a fare-paying adult (up to four children per adult).
If you're travelling with children aged 11-15, buy a Visitor Oyster card before you leave home and get a Young Visitor discount added to the card.
Although these are located slightly further away from the O2, they are still very well situated for getting to the stadium and other London attractions. Modern and safe, they are much like Uni accommodation. A twin bed en suite costs approximately £28 per person per night. A single en suite costs £30 - £35 per person per night. Each room has a shared kitchenette area.
There are a number of hotels close to the O2 you could stay at, including:
