Valley Kids

As a church, we believe in children! We believe that they can influence their worlds for Jesus by finding faith at an early age.

Our team is ready to welcome your child to our Valley Kids programmes. Each session provides an opportunity for lively worship, Biblical truth, opportunities to respond, active games, and creativity.

Our Programmes

At Valley, we have two programmes: Inspire (for children 1 and walking through to reception) and Influence (for children in Years 1 - 6).

Inspire

In Inspire, we want our children to be inspired to live a life of faith from an early age. We do this by sharing Biblical truths and seeing how they can be applied to our lives through play and activities.

Our Inspire programme focuses on a key idea that we explore through age-specific teaching, crafts, worship, and other activities. We have a snack time where the children are encouraged to share about their weeks and build relationships with their peers.

August Teaching

In August, we shall be following the themes of Genesis. Our key learning points for August:

7th August
AM: God made us
PM: God gave us Jesus

14th August
AM:
I am part of Jesus' family
PM: Jesus prays for me

21st August
AM:
Jesus died to save me
PM: God chose me

28th August
AM: God has a plan
PM: Jesus is King

Influence

In Influence, we want the children to become influencers in their generations to make the Name of Jesus famous by living an active life of faith.

Each session we explore a Big Question and find our answer through our various activities. Our teaching pulls together ideas from throughout the Bible and is followed by an opportunity to respond and apply our learning to our lives through our Encounter Moment. And of course, we make sure there is plenty of active games, lively worship, and time to develop friendships through our snack time.

August Teaching

In August, we shall be looking into how we can see Jesus through Genesis. Check out our Big Questions for August:

7th August
AM:
What began in Genesis?
PM: Who was Adam & Eve's third son?

14th August
AM:
What does it mean to belong to Christ?
PM: How can we see Jesus as priest in Genesis?

21st August
AM:
How can we see Jesus as the sacrifice God provided in Genesis?
PM: Why would God choose me, use me and see me as beautiful?

28th August
AM:
How will God ultimately save many people?
PM: How can we see Jesus as King in Genesis?

Our Memory Verse

Throughout Genesis, we read stories of imperfect people and see despite their failings God works it all for good. This verse summarises beautifully what we can learn from the book of Genesis and how ultimately God wants to redeem people into a relationship with Him.

"You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives." (Genesis 50:20 NIV)

How do we join?

Our programmes run at all our weekend services. When you arrive at one of our locations, head to the kids registration desk (which opens 30 minutes before the start of the service). One of our team will be there to greet you and register your child. Once your child is registered, the team will let you know when the programme starts.

Each session does include a snack time so we would encourage you to send your child with a drink. And of course, let our team know of any allergies or other information you would like us to know.
